Praised as “a bundle of dynamite, combining quiet delicacy with thundering power” (Chicago’s Hyde Park Herald), pianist Anastasiya Magamedova is known for her “sophisticated and thoroughly satisfying renditions” of complex repertoire. Critics have highlighted her ability to navigate demanding works with “confidence,” delivering performances of striking intensity, lyrical simplicity, and rich, expressive textures.

Recognized for her artistry across a wide range of styles, Magamedova has been lauded for her ability to capture the “improvisatory feeling” of a piece while handling its technical demands and sudden mood shifts “with aplomb” (Cleveland Classical).

Born in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, she began studying piano at the age of five and is a graduate of the Juilliard School. She is the 1st Prize winner of the International Scriabin Competition in Paris and the 2nd Prize winner of the International ArsClassica Competition.

Recent engagements have taken her to the Kammermusiksaal of the Berlin Philharmonic, the Opera and Ballet State Theater of Tajikistan, and Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall. Her 2014 Carnegie Hall debut led to further performances at Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, and Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin.

Magamedova has appeared as a soloist with the Alicante Philharmonic Orchestra, Utah Symphony, American West Symphony, and Wratislava Chamber Orchestra.

Currently based in Paris, Magamedova is pursuing advanced studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique. She was previously mentored by acclaimed pianist Gabriela Montero.
